Blue Moon Studio is a personal recording studio located in a quiet rural setting in small-town Maine. Owned and operated by Donald Root, the studio was created to provide musicians with a relaxed, focused space to make real, organic music.

With 30 years of experience playing drums — along with guitar and bass — I bring both deep technical skill and a musician’s perspective to every session. Whether you’re a singer-songwriter, solo artist, or full band, my goal is simple: help you capture honest performances with warm, natural sound.
